Jake Player is the CEO of REMarkets and a Board of Directors Member. He has over 20 years of industry experience, including leadership positions at Dell, TechTurn, and Arrow Electronics. He has experience in Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Services, Supply Chains, and Mergers & Acquisitions. He holds a bachelorâs degree from Hampden-Sydney College, and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. He enjoys fishing, hiking, golf, and reading.
Sara Ruiz is the Compliance Manager of REMarkets, she has been in the EQH&S industry over twelve years assessing employee and client needs. Ruiz's core competencies include strong interpersonal skills where as an EQH&S Manager, she designs, implements, and manages procedures that improve compliance to the R2 (Responsible Recycling), ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, ISO 45001, TCEQ and EPA standards with pertinent federal, state, and local regulations. Sara currently resides in Kyle, TX. when not enjoying the live music scene in Austin, she likes being outside in the fresh air and sunshine tending to her plants.
Tom Sager serves as the General Manager of the Chicago branch and was the Founder of Tech Trade Partners which was acquired by Remarkets in late 2021. Tomâs industry experience spans 35+ years and includes management positions at Ingram Micro, Comdisco and TechSmart prior to establishing Tech Trade Partners. He holds a Bachelorâs Degree in Information Systems Management. Outside of work Tom enjoys spending time with his wife and adult children, and auto racing as a driver in Sports Car Club of America competition.
Cris Lull joined ReMarkets in 2019 as an experienced software and technology executive with a track record of strategic execution to generate enterprise services revenue. Growth strategies have included Pre-IPO, private equity backed, venture capital backed and acquisition roll ups. He currently runs our global account management team.
Katherine McCormick is the HR Manager at REMarkets. She has 20+ years of experience in reverse logistics/tech industry Human Resources, including HRIS development, Employee Relations, Payroll and Benefits Administration, and developing HR foundations in startup and young companies. She has a BA from Texas State University and enjoys baking and travel.
Scott Council is the Vice President of Sales and the General Manager of the Virginia facility. Prior to joining Remarkets, he was owner of Score Computers, which specialized in the IT Reverse logistics field as well. He has experience in sales, operations, sales management, and services. Scott holds a bachelorâs degree from Virginia Military Institute. He enjoys golf and spending time with his children.
Joel Dawson is the SVP, Global Operations and Human Resources. Joel has 15 years of Operations, Human Resources and M&A leadership experience across, Bio Tech, High Tech and Data Center industries. He holds a bachelors degree from Columbia College. He enjoys fishing, reading and traveling with his family.
Tom Meredith is a Partner at Brightstar Capital Partners and serves as Board Chair of REMarkets. He is also serves as Vice Chair of Likewize.ââ
Tomâs career spans more than 35 years and includes extensive experience in corporate finance, manufacturing, finance operations, and global financial markets.
Prior to joining Brightstar, Tom was Vice Board Chair of Likewize, which was sold to Softbank in 2014. He was a Co-founder and Chair of the Board of Managers of Meritage Capital, an investment management firm specializing in multi-manager hedge funds.
Prior to establishing Meritage in 2003, Tom served in various senior positions at Dell, including CFO, SVP of Business Development and Strategy, and Managing Director of Dell Ventures. Prior to joining Dell, he was VP and Treasurer for Sun Microsystems and Co-Founder and GM of Amdahl Capital Corporation.â
Tom has received numerous accolades and awards including being named 2018 Harvey Penick Award Winner for Excellence in the Game of Life; 2012 Chamber of Commerce Austinite of the Year; 2010 Austin Community Foundation Philanthropy Award for donors who have shown philanthropic leadership in Central Texas; the Torch of Liberty Award given by the ADL in 2006; Outstanding Philanthropist of the Year given by the Association of Professional Fundraisers in 2004; and an Honorary Alumni Award given by Leadership Austin in 2003.
âTom currently serves on the Advisory Boards of the LBJ School of Public Affairs as well as the Center for the Study of Race and Democracy at the University of Texas. He is an Emeritus Trustee of the University of Virginia College Foundation Board. From 2009-2018 Tom served on the worldwide board of The Nature Conservancy. Tom received his B.A. in political science from St. Francis University, a J.D. from Duquesne University and an LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center.
Andrew Weinberg is Founder & CEO and Member of Brightstar Capital Partners and serves on the board of REMarkets. Additionally, he currently serves as Board Chair of Likewize and QualTek, and as Co-Chair of Americaâs Group. Andrew also serves on the boards of InfraServ US and Texas Water Supply Company, all Brightstar portfolio companies.
Prior to founding Brightstar, Andrew was a Partner at Lindsay Goldberg, a New York-based private equity firm. In addition, from 2008-2011 Andrew served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Strategy Officer of Likewize. Likewize was acquired by Softbank in 2014. Andrew served on the Boards of 13 portfolio companies during his tenure at Lindsay Goldberg. Prior to joining Lindsay Goldberg in 2003, Andrew worked at Goldman Sachs in their Principal Investment Area (PIA). Andrew started his career at Morgan Stanley in mergers and acquisitions and leveraged finance.
Andrew received his MBA from Stanford GSB and an AB from Dartmouth College with a double major in History and Economics. Andrew serves on the board of The National Board of Review of Motion Pictures. Andrew is a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO). He is also a member of the World Economic Forum where he serves on the Global Future Council on Investing and the Stewardship Board of the Forumâs Platform on Shaping the Future of Investing.
Michael Drexler is the Chief Strategy Officer and a Managing Director at Brightstar. He currently serves on the board of REMarkets and Americaâs Group, both Brightstar portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Brightstar, Michael was Managing Director and Global Head of Strategy and Business Transformation at J.P. Morgan Asset Management based in New York.
He was a member of the divisionâs Operating Committee and worked with all business lines on strategic initiatives, including M&A, business efficiency, and decision making.
Previously, he worked for nearly a decade in a senior leadership role at the World Economic Forum as Member of the Executive Committee responsible for partnerships and content in the Alternative Investment industry and later the Forumâs content initiatives across the financial sector, infrastructure, and long-term investing. Michael also spent nearly a decade at Barclays Capital in London, as the Global Head of Strategy and Planning for the majority of his time there, following his role as a consultant at McKinsey & Co and a post-doctoral position at Stanford University.
Michael holds a doctorate in Mathematics from Oxford University and an M.Sc. in Engineering from the Technical University at Munich.
Yue Xi is a Principal at Brightstar. He currently serves on the board of REMarkets and Americaâs Group, both Brightstar portfolio companies. Yueâs responsibilities include evaluating investment opportunities, performing transaction due diligence, and working with management teams to implement operational and growth strategies.
Prior to joining Brightstar, Yue was a Vice President at Calera Capital, focusing on investment opportunities across a range of industries including industrial services and business services. Prior to Calera, Yue was an Associate in the LBO Group at H.I.G. Capital. Yue began his career as a member of the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at Citi.
Yue holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
Todd Allen is the IT Technical Services Manager for the Chicago Branch. Todd is an accomplished IT Professional with over 15 yearsâ experience in technical customer service, project management, hardware and software, and training. He holds a certification in Network Administration and Security from the University of Phoenix.
When not at work Todd spends his time volunteering for non-profits, and spending time with his family.
Peter Lynch is Sales Account Manager at REMarkets with over a decade of industry experience. Having held both sales and engineering roles in the past has helped him to develop his technical skills and market knowledge. He holds a bachelorâs degree from Southern Illinois University with specializations in Computer Science and Business.
He enjoys woodworking, retro gaming, and spending time with his family.
Jerry Allen joined ReMarkets early in 2023 with 15 years experience in IT lifecycle management. Prior to joining ReMarkets he worked for various companies within the ITAD space bringing knowledge of reverse logistics, business development & account management.
He is an Account Manager for ReMarkets & prides himself on the ability to find sustainable solutions for a challenging landscape of customer needs. Jerry holds a bachelor of arts degree from the Virginia Military Institute & resides with his wife & family in Richmond, Virginia. In his free time, Jerry enjoys fishing, sports, & a wide range of live music.
Kent Green is the Operations Manager of the Virginia facility. He has 10+ years of experience in the IT Industry, including Enterprise Migration, Enterprise Software Deployment, E-Commerce Business Development, Operations, & IT Reverse Logistics.
Outside of work he enjoys hiking, kayaking, and spending quality time with family.
Aaron Young is the Sales Support Specialist of REMarkets at the Virginia facility. He has 5 years of Sales Support/Sales Operations experience. Prior to joining the REMarkets team, Aaron was the Sales Support Specialist for a molecular lab in Richmond known as GENETWORx, who provided nationwide COVID19 testing during the pandemic.
Aaronâs core strengths include strong interpersonal skills, client facing, and customer success management. He holds a bachelorâs degree in psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University. He enjoys traveling, live music, and watching the NFL and NHL.
Lisa Carter is the Distribution Manager for REMarkets in the Austin, TX office. She earned a BA in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin. She joined the company in 2017 and overseas the prioritization and fulfillment of sales orders and arranging delivery around the world with external partners.
Lisa handles inventory control focusing on loss prevention.
Jason Richmond is the Operations Manager/Facility Manger for the Austin Branch and joined the ReMarkets team in August of 2022. Have over 20 years of heavy industrial experience in Operations, Maintenance Supervision & Planning/Scheduling, and Capital Project Management.
Jason is a certified Project Manager through Management Strategies Institute. I am "Green Belt" certified in Lean Manufacturing as well. Outside of work I enjoy traveling with my wife to tropical locations, fishing, and Surfing.
Sean McCain is the Controller at REMarkets. Sean has 20 plus years of accounting and financial audit experience in both the public and private sectors working with companies in Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, and Services.
He is a CPA and holds an MBA from the University of St. Thomas. He thoroughly enjoys time outdoors with family and friends.
Louis Carrillo is a Customer Support Specialist with 20+ years of sales and support experience. His attention to company growth and the customer is priority. His experience provides understanding in all aspects of business to provide assistance and support where needed.
Born and raised in Austin he enjoys spending time with his kids, friends, exploring the outdoors and watching live music.
Nic Griebenow is the Pricing and Financial Analyst at Remarkets. Graduated in May of 2022 from McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas studying Finance. As a Pricing Analyst and Financial Analyst, his main focus is Market Price Volatility,
Price Analytics, Price forecasting, Price to buy Opportunity analysis, Cash Flow forecasting, FP&A analysis, and Financial Statement Analysis. When Nic is not studying for the CFA, he enjoys playing Golfing, going to live music events, and walking the trails.
John âHutchâ Hutchinson rejoined ReMarkets in January 2023 as Senior Account Manager. After graduating from Southwest Texas State University, Hutch has enjoyed a 3+decade career in the ITAD Industry in various roles from entrepreneur to executive.
He is a great advocate of Reverse Logistics and Life Cycle Management principles. Hutch has attended school and worked numerous locations around the world, but keeps coming back to Central Texas for family, fun and friends.
Troy Storer is the Vice President of Sales Operations at Remarkets. He has been in the reverse logistics industry for 20+ years with experience in purchasing, sales, operations and services.

John Buller is the Technology Director at REMarkets. He joined the team in 2016, with background in Materials Management, Production Control and Operatons Management in remanufacturing, both operationally and as a systems analyst.
He has remanufacturing and reverse logistics industry experience spanning 30 years at Dell, Techturn, Arrow Electronics, and Remarkets. John earned a Bachelors degree from Texas State University, and an APICS Remanufacturing SIG certification.
